Title... The Heiligenstadt Testament: one house, two museums!

It was in this house that Beethoven wrote, in 1802, the letter which prosterity has named "The Heiligenstadt Testament". It was here that he admitted his deafness.

There are two little museums in this house. One is a museum of the town of Vienna, the other is of the Beethoven Society of Vienna...

Pfarrplatz house...

The house 2 Pfarrplatz, in Heiligenstadt. In Beethoven's time it was the Schlöglisches Haus at 66 Am Platz.

Beethoven stayed here in the summer of 1817, although he was working on his 9th symphony...
