In the park "Du Fay Garten" in Frankfurt, it is possible to meet Schiller and Goethe, and a monument dedicated to Beethoven: "Dem Genius Beethovens". This bronze monument is 4,50 meters high and has been sculpted by Georg Kolbe (Waldheim 1877 - Berlin 1947). He ended the model in 1939, but because of the war, the bronze was created only in 1948, and inaugurated after Kolbe's death. |
